Learn to Dive

Description: Learn to Dive is Norco Diving's entry-level program for athletes who are completely new to the sport. Classes are built around the core progressions and fundamentals of springboard diving, giving participants a safe and encouraging environment to begin developing skills on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Every week includes two in-water sessions at your home pool and one dryland session at the Flip Lab, where athletes build body awareness and reinforce technique away from the water.

The program is divided into two age-based groups — Youth and Teen — which follow the same curriculum and coaching approach. Classes are kept intentionally small so every athlete receives individual attention and progresses at a pace that builds real confidence.

  • Practice Schedule: Classes meet three days per week — two in-water sessions at your home pool and one dryland session at the Flip Lab. Each session is one hour in length.

*Teen classes are currently offered exclusively at EPIC. Additional sections at other locations may be added based on enrollment interest.

Challenge

Description: Challenge is a coaching-focused training program designed for divers who are ready to develop beyond the introductory level and begin building a competitive diving list on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards. Where earlier programs introduce the 3-meter board through drills and foundational work, Challenge athletes actively build and refine a working dive list on both boards — expanding their technical range, adding more advanced movements and positions, and developing the consistency needed for competition.

The program is structured to support growth at a flexible pace, with participation expectations that adapt to each athlete's schedule and commitment level. Challenge also serves as a natural pathway for divers looking to progress into the Norco TRAIN program.

  • Practice Schedule: Challenge meets four days per week for 1.5 hrs

Competition: Challenge athletes have the opportunity to compete in Rocky Mountain Diving League (RMDL) meets, AAU-sanctioned events, and select invitationals throughout the season. Competition participation is encouraged but not required.

    • EPIC — Fort Collins Monday / Wednesday — 8:00a–9:30a
      Tuesday (alternating weeks) — 8:00a–9:30a

Commitment: Challenge operates on a rolling month-to-month enrollment. Athletes are not required to attend every practice, and participation can flex to fit individual schedules while tuition remains consistent.

Description: Varsity is a structured coaching program centered on 1-meter springboard development for athletes who are ready to build on an existing foundation and prepare for competition at the high school level. The program is designed for middle school divers who have completed at least one school diving season, as well as high school athletes looking to develop or sharpen their dive list heading into their CHSAA season.

Workouts draw on both in-water practice and dryland training, with a primary emphasis on 1-meter technique and occasional work on the 3-meter board to broaden skill and deepen confidence. Coaching focuses on refining existing dives, building a competitive list, and developing the consistency needed to perform under meet conditions. For athletes ready to push further, Varsity also serves as a natural stepping stone toward the Challenge or TRAIN programs.

  • Practice Schedule: Practices are held three days per week — two sessions at your home pool and one weekly session at the Flip Lab on Fridays. Each practice is 1.5 hours.

Competition: Varsity athletes compete primarily within their school's high school season under CHSAA. Optional participation in Rocky Mountain Diving League (RMDL) meets is available throughout the summer for athletes interested in additional competitive experience.

EPIC (Fort Collins): Monday/Wednesday; 9:30a–11:00a & Friday; 8:00a–9:30a at the Flip Lab

Pre-requisites: Athletes should have previous diving experience through a recognized program — including Norco Diving programs such as Foundations or Fast Track, a high school diving team, or comparable instruction, along with a basic working knowledge of 1-meter diving skills. A positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to being a supportive teammate are expected of all Varsity athletes.

Commitment: Varsity operates on a rolling month-to-month enrollment. There is no minimum attendance requirement — athletes are welcome to participate as their schedule allows, with tuition remaining consistent.

TRAIN

Description: The Norco TRAIN program is built for experienced divers who are committed to advancing their skills and competing at a higher level. Centered on a close coach-athlete partnership, TRAIN takes a comprehensive approach to the sport — addressing technique, dive development, performance benchmarks, and competition strategy as an integrated whole.

The name reflects the program's philosophy: every session, drill, and competition is approached as training. Coaches and athletes work together to set specific, actionable goals, and each practice is structured around achieving them. For athletes with aspirations of competing at the college level, our coaching staff draws on their experience and national network to actively support NCAA recruiting visibility.

During Summer 2026, the program operates in a blend of early and competitive season training — focused on building new dives, refining fundamentals, and driving meaningful dive development growth heading into the fall season.

  • Practice Schedule: TRAIN meets five days per week across EPIC, the Flip Lab, and Village Green.

Competition: TRAIN athletes compete under the USA Diving governing body, with participation in regional and national events including qualifying competitions and championship meets. Athletes also compete in AAU, RMDL and select invitationals throughout the season.

  • Locations

    • EPIC — Fort Collins Monday / Wednesday — 8:00a–10:00a Tuesday (alternating weeks) — 8:00a–10:00a

    • Flip Lab Thursday — 8:00a–10:00a Tuesday (alternating weeks) — 8:00a–10:00a

    • Village Green — Fort Collins Friday — 9:30a–11:00a

  • Monthly Tuition - $475 per month

Pre-requisites: Athletes must demonstrate proficiency on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards prior to enrollment, assessed during a single practice or scheduled test-out session with a coach. A goal-setting consultation with the program director is available to all incoming athletes and is encouraged ahead of or upon enrollment.

Commitment - For Summer 2026, TRAIN is open enrollment on a month-to-month basis — athletes are welcome to join at any point during the season. Athletes are expected to attend consistently and approach every session with a goal-oriented mindset. Beginning Fall 2026, the program transitions to a structured contract commitment; summer is an ideal opportunity to experience the program ahead of that change.
