Varsity

Varsity is for athletes grades in 9th -12th who have built a base list of dives from the five unique diving groups (Front, Back, Reverse, Inward, Twist) through either the Norco Learn to Dive program or by testing out with the program director. This program suits those interested in essential preparation for Middle or High School diving. Additionally, this program is a development stepping stone to meet Team Norco advancement opportunities.

Varsity

4x per week, 2hr

Mon/Wed, 5:30–7:30p (EPIC); Th/Fri 5:00p-7:00p (CSU)

Description: The Varsity program is the 2nd level of Norco Diving programs in the teen division. Varsity divers will build upon their successes in the CORE program and enhance their diving skills by adding more advanced movements, positions, and methodology. More 3-meter instruction is introduced, and divers will work on building basic and advanced dives in a safe, controlled environment and at an appropriate pace. This program is ideal for those who wish to only compete in high school and/or only develop their 1-meter diving skills, however, for those that desire, it will serve as the appropriate stepping stone to joining Team Norco.

Prerequisites:

Successful completion of the CORE program or testing out by demonstrating all required skills for passing CORE program to a coach in a single practice or test-out session.
